Lloyd Jones Illustration

Hello! My name is Lloyd Jones.

I am a contemporary painter and freelance illustrator based in the South of England. I recently graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a first-class honours degree in Illustration and am currently studying a 2-year Masters degree at Brighton University.

My professional work so far includes upcoming pieces in an article for The Heckler, and a page in Diana Evans’ next book My Favorite Food. I have also exhibited in a number of exhibitions and shows local to the Portsmouth region such as the Above The Blue gallery in Port Solent, Strong Island, Wine & Design at The Wine Vaults, and of course the University of Portsmouth summer show where it was selected by the Pro Vice-Chancellor for display in the University’s main building. I’m interested in trying out new techniques, experimenting with mixed media and making a huge mess and getting paint and ink all over all of my clothes and possessions. I’m skilled in a variety of traditional and digital media but I’m a particularly big user of acrylic paint, watercolour pencils, drawing ink and old yellowing sheet music. I like to tackle projects with a certain simplicity, light-heartedness and sense of humour that makes my work adaptable to audiences of all ages.

On this website there are examples of all the things I can do. If you would like me to do any of these things for you, you can drop me an email at . It will be lovely to hear from you.
